High School: 9-12th
High School Ministries (HSM) is designed specifically for 9-12th graders. The goal is equip students with the tools they need to navigate through the many challenges of high school. We recognize that the teenage years in a students’ life are absolutely critical as they develop their identity, so we want our ministry to be a resource that prepares them for what life throws at them.
HSM is made up of 5 major parts.
These parts help us accomplish our mission of leading students to realize and reach their full potential in Jesus Christ:
1. The Warehouse Service
Our service includes a practical message that connects to a student’s head and heart, a passionate worship experience, and creative elements that drive it all home.
2. Small Groups
This is where students internalize the Bible through reading and discussing scripture with their peers. We form small groups by plugging each student in with others who attend the same school and are of the same age and gender as them. We also connect each small group with an adult leader. Our small group leaders love high school students and God, and act as a mentor and listening ear.
3. Events & Trips
Throughout the year, we plan a variety of exciting events, conferences, and mission trips that are designed to help students connect with other students, adult leaders, and God.
4. Student Impact
This is an opportunity designed for high school students to begin serving within the four walls of our church on a weekly basis. We believe that when a student "owns" the ministry they serve within – they begin to truly own their faith.
5. House Groups
As the name implies, House Groups are where a group of students (from the same school) meet at a family’s house and simply hangout. The purpose is for students to have a safe, non-threatening environment where students can go with their friends, eat some food, and hangout.
