Revival Nights: When God Moves, We Move

Revival Nights: When God Moves, We Move

September 15, 2025

Something incredible happened this past week across NewPointe Community Church. Night after night, campus after campus, hearts gathered under one name – Jesus. And what we experienced wasn’t just another series of services. It was a move of God.

Revival broke out, and it’s just the beginning. Each night was marked by powerful teaching that cut to the core of our souls, worship that lifted our eyes off our chaos and onto Christ, and the kind of response that only the Holy Spirit can prompt. We witnessed baptisms every single night – stories of death to life, of people surrendering their pain, control, shame, and past, experiencing the freedom we have in Jesus. It was more than a moment. It was a movement.

Across all campuses – one church, one Spirit. One of the most beautiful aspects of this revival was the unity across all our NewPointe campuses: Dover, Canton, Coshocton, Cambridge, Millersburg, and Wooster. Together we experienced what it means to be the body of Christ – different people, different places, one purpose: to inspire people to follow Jesus, by knowing Him and making Him known.

There was a tangible sense that God is stirring something deeper in our community. As the music rose, so did faith. As messages were preached, so was hope. As people were baptized, the Kingdom of God expanded.

Such a time as this. This revival couldn’t have come at a more needed moment. We’re living in a time where our nation feels heavy with division, confusion, chaos, and even hatred. People are angry, afraid, anxious. And too often, we forget where the real battle lies.

As Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

This is not just political. It’s not just cultural. It’s spiritual.

Some of us have felt SAD this past week. Some have felt SCARED. Some have felt ANGRY. Some have felt NUMB or CONFUSED

And in moments like this, there’s a pull to pick a side …

To get swept into outrage …

To see people only as enemies or obstacles …

But when we reduce people to labels instead of seeing them as image-bearers of God – that is the work of darkness. Forgive us when we forget this. May we commit to love people as You have loved us, and point them to You – not to win arguments but to inspire them to follow You, Jesus.

We are called to be different and better.

We are called to love. To live in light. To carry truth with compassion and grace.

As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. so powerfully said, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

Let it spread. What God is doing at NewPointe cannot and must not be contained within the walls of our campuses. If we’ve truly encountered His presence, it should change how we live, how we love, and how we speak.

This revival was not an event to attend – it’s a spirit of love to carry. So let’s be the light in the darkness. Let’s choose love when it would be easier to hate. Let’s walk in unity when it would be easier to divide. Let’s bring peace where there’s confusion and truth where there’s deception.

God is at work. And we are just getting started.
