Today’s Scripture: Romans 12:1
When most people think of worship, they think of singing songs, attending church, or raising their hands during service. While those expressions are important, Scripture presents a much larger picture of worship.
Paul urges believers to offer their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. He then says, “This is your true and proper worship.”
Worship is not limited to one moment. Worship is a lifestyle.
Every act of obedience can become an act of worship. Every act of service can become an offering to God. When we help a neighbor, encourage a friend, serve our church, care for our family, or meet a need, we are worshiping God through our actions.
This changes how we view service.
Service is no longer just another responsibility. It becomes a response to God’s mercy. We serve because He first served us.
We love because He first loved us. We give because He has been generous toward us.
The motivation matters.
Serving for recognition leads to frustration. Serving as worship leads to joy.
When our service is offered to God, even the smallest task takes on eternal significance.
Nothing done for His glory is wasted.
PERSONAL REFLECTION
Choose one ordinary task today and intentionally offer it to God as an act of worship.
PRAYER
Lord, teach me that worship is more than a moment; it is a lifestyle. Help me offer my whole self as a living sacrifice, turning ordinary acts of service into offerings to You. I serve because You first served me, and I love because You first loved me. Purify my motives, that even the smallest task done for Your glory would carry eternal significance.
