Today’s Scripture: Acts 20:24
As Paul reflected on his life and ministry, he made a remarkable statement: “My life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus.”
Paul understood something many people miss: Life is bigger than personal success. Bigger than comfort. Bigger than achievement.
Life is about participating in God’s mission. Every follower of Jesus has been sent into their everyday world with a purpose.
You do not have to travel overseas to live on mission. Your mission field may be your workplace. Your neighborhood. Your school. Your family. Your friendships.
Living on mission means viewing every day through a spiritual lens. It means asking God to use your words, actions, relationships, and opportunities to point people toward Him.
This does not require perfection. It requires availability. God uses ordinary people who are willing to be intentional.
As you follow Jesus, He will place people in your path who need encouragement, hope, truth, and grace. The question is whether you will be ready to respond.
A life lived on mission is a life that makes an eternal difference. And there is no greater purpose than helping others discover the hope found in Jesus.
PERSONAL REFLECTION
Ask God to help you see your everyday life as a mission field. Pray for one opportunity this week to encourage someone and point them toward Christ.
PRAYER
Lord, help me see that my life is meant for more than comfort or achievement. You have sent me into my work, neighborhood, family, and friendships with purpose. I may not be perfect, but I can be available. Help me view each day as a mission field, and be ready to offer encouragement, hope, and grace to those You place in my path.
